Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to assist clients in managing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions designed to foster community support and share coping strategies; these may include support groups or psychoeducational workshops.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that outline clear goals and effective strategies tailored to each client’s specific requirements.

• Respond promptly to crisis situations, performing risk assessments and coordinating necessary interventions to ensure client safety.

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health by participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse client population that includes adults and adolescents experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. Through your counseling efforts, you will help clients navigate complex emotional landscapes, manage symptoms, and improve overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a mental health counselor in Florida, meeting all state licensing requirements, including passing a recognized examination and completing supervised clinical hours.

• A minimum of three years of supervised clinical practice in a mental health counseling environment, focusing on direct client care.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop treatment plans that effectively address client needs.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
