About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Active Ohio RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, IV certification Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills Travel experience is a plus Description: Schedule: Day shift, 3x12's. Key Responsibilities: Start and manage IVs. Administer medications safely. Monitor vital signs and patient responses. Educate patients on treatments and self-care. Collaborate with the care team on patient plans. Use EPIC EMR for charting. Float to lower acuity units if needed. Follow hospital policies and maintain patient safety. Requirements: 1 year of experience in a nursing role. Strong communication skills. Critical thinking and multitasking ability. Ability to float to different units as needed. Experience with patient ratios of 4. Familiarity with various patient diagnoses and care protocols. Experience with medical-surgical procedures and special equipment. Additional Unit Information: Interdisciplinary support services available. Patient demographics include adults and geriatric populations. Daily census of approximately 23 patients with 27 beds available. Most common patient diagnoses include general medical issues. Special procedures include IV management, chest tube care, and more.
