Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients' physical abilities through a combination of observations, standardized tests, and discussions with parents or caregivers.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, and overall functional mobility.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and current pediatric therapy techniques to maximize improvements in physical performance.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to establish cohesive care plans that align therapeutic objectives with home and school environments.
• Provide education to families on appropriate exercises, stretches, and mobility activities to reinforce therapeutic progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on patient responses and evolving needs.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric physical therapy to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Suncrest, you will primarily engage with children across various developmental stages, all facing unique physical challenges. Your approach will be tailored to each child's age and condition, with a focus on building their confidence and ability to navigate everyday activities. This role will involve working with patients dealing with conditions such as cerebral palsy, developmental delays, orthopedic injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Nevada.
• Fundamental understanding of pediatric physical therapy practices and principles.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in a pediatric healthcare setting.
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in explaining complex information clearly to families and caregivers.
• A demonstrated passion for working with children and helping them achieve developmental milestones.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.

Compensation and Benefits
