Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of students and their families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting their well-being.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities such as crisis intervention, brief therapy, and long-term support.

• Collaborate with healthcare and educational teams, ensuring patient and family involvement in care plans, facilitating effective communication and support systems.

• Facilitate multidisciplinary discharge planning efforts, liaising with physicians, insurance providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth transitions for students receiving care.

• Provide psychoeducation and counseling to families regarding the adaptation processes related to mental health challenges and school transitions.

• Offer specialized support for oncology patients experiencing emotional distress, including evaluations for depression and anxiety, coupled with short-term counseling interventions.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to address after-hours needs, ensuring continuous support for patients and families.
\n
• Deliver educational seminars and presentations at conferences, establishing your role as a knowledgeable expert in psychosocial interventions.

• Engage with the community through educational outreach, promoting awareness of available mental health resources and services.

• Contribute to the profession by mentoring incoming clinical social workers and participating in clinical research to enhance the practice of oncology social work.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
