Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the mental health and substance use concerns of clients, including the presence and impact of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address their unique mental health and substance use needs, incorporating evidence-based interventions that promote recovery.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients cultivate essential coping skills, effective relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for clients.

• Regularly monitor substance use and engage clients using motivational interviewing techniques to foster their commitment to recovery.

• Educate clients and their families on the interrelationships between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the significance of treatment adherence.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment interventions, and referrals, ensuring compliance with all ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and training initiatives to enhance your expertise in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults suffering from a spectrum of co-occurring mental health disorders and substance use issues. Our clients often face challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and related disorders. Your role will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journeys, ultimately helping them to achieve and maintain holistic wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT .

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies specifically designed for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing these issues in clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a community health setting or with populations experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and best practices for remote therapy delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
