Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs, utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.

• Provide therapeutic interventions that include individual therapy sessions focused on perinatal mental health and general mental wellness.

• Engage in regular case consultations with fellow staff members to discuss client progress and treatment plans.

• Connect clients with community-based resources and services as necessary, advocating for their social service needs and ensuring access to additional support.

• Organize and participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance professional skills, and stay updated on best practices in mental health.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records using our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all confidentiality regulations.

• Work collaboratively with volunteers and counseling interns to promote activities that address client needs and enhance their overall therapeutic experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Virtual Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with clients experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, with a strong emphasis on those navigating perinatal mental health issues. This role requires empathy, sensitivity, and the ability to establish trust in a virtual environment, catering to a diverse clientele including individuals, couples, and families seeking support.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

• No history of medical malpractice claims, validated by a third party.
\n
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in providing telehealth services and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly preferred. Candidates with specific training or credentialing in perinatal mental health will be given special consideration. Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload.
