Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize your education and clinical training to conduct independent psychosocial evaluations and diagnose patients' mental health concerns effectively.

• Collaborate closely with patients to design individualized treatment plans that are centered on their unique needs and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as solution-focused treatment, behavioral activation, and motivational interviewing, to optimize patient outcomes.

• Coordinate with healthcare providers, including primary care practitioners and mental health colleagues, to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient care.

• Regularly monitor patient progress towards treatment goals through both virtual and in-person interactions, adapting strategies as needed based on their evolving circumstances.

• Support psychotropic medication management by closely observing treatment adherence, side effects, and therapeutic effectiveness as prescribed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LCSW at Magellan Healthcare, you will primarily work with patients receiving hospice care, focusing on individuals experiencing profound emotional and psychological challenges related to critical illnesses. You will address a diverse array of concerns, including grief, adjustment issues, and anxiety management, ensuring a supportive and therapeutic environment for each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

• A current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice independently in mental health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.

• Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed therapist in a clinical setting, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
