Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform thorough assessments to identify the needs, challenges, and objectives of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Create personalized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based therapies and align with patients' recovery goals.

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions utilizing methods such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to promote self-awareness and behavioral change.

• Lead group therapy sessions designed to foster community support and shared experiences among individuals in recovery.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies relating to substance use issues.

• Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, recovery processes, and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all patient records are up to date and accessible as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of your role will be on individuals struggling with substance use disorders, from those in early recovery to those seeking long-term recovery strategies. Patients may come from diverse backgrounds and present with a variety of co-occurring mental health challenges. Your ability to connect and build rapport will be crucial in guiding them through their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PSYD) in the state of Washington.

• Proven experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on substance use disorders and recovery.

Preferred Experience\n

• Master’s degree or higher in a related mental health field.

• Prior experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in substance use treatment programs.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
