Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be performed remotely while actively engaging with students and staff in various school settings in Lakewood, Washington. Our therapists benefit from a supportive, collegial work environment that encourages professional growth and the utilization of best-practice methodologies. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the possibility of occasional evening and weekend rotations to accommodate the schedules of students and client families.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of client symptoms, evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration to formulate effective treatment recommendations.

• Collaborate with clients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans that address specific individual goals and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to treat mood disorders.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families, helping them to understand mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress regularly, reassessing treatment plans as necessary to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support.

• Stay informed on the latest research, trends, and methodologies in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client assessments and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Richmond Counseling, you will focus primarily on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. The primary patient population will consist of students of all ages, with a focus on their unique challenges and developmental needs within educational settings.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington state.

Compensation and Benefits\n
