Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing therapists to provide care from the comforts of their own home while still benefiting from the support of a collaborative team. You will operate during standard business hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. While the majority of your work may be remote, there is an opportunity to engage with colleagues and patients in our outpatient office in Tacoma as needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' mental health to assess the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms, developing comprehensive understanding through personal interviews and standardized assessment tools.

• Collaborate directly with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences, integrating evidence-based methods to ensure effective outcomes.

• Utilize recognized treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, including potential treatment paths and self-care strategies, thereby empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.

• Monitor progress against treatment goals through regular follow-up, adjusting the therapeutic approach based on observed changes and client feedback.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to coordinate integrated and holistic patient care.
\n
• Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment developments in a manner consistent with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training activities, working to enhance personal clinical skills while contributing to community learning.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, striving to reduce stigma surrounding mood disorders and ensuring comprehensive support is accessible.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The core focus of this role will be to work with individuals experiencing a spectrum of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. The therapist will approach clients with empathy and understanding, forging trusting relationships to facilitate open communication and effective treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of Washington.
\n
• Solid experience in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address mood disorders.
\n
• Strong collaborative skills and foundational knowledge of psychopharmacology to effectively work alongside psychiatrists and other professionals.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive patient outcomes through tailored mental health interventions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Previous experience working in an outpatient setting focused specifically on mood disorders is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
