Job Description Job Description: Position Summary: The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in client Corporate Payroll team. In this fast paced, customer service driven environment, the Payroll Specialist will interact with a diverse workforce including colleagues and management with top level visibility. The individual in this role will gain valuable knowledge, skills and experience in an area of Payroll that interacts daily with colleagues and management from all levels of the organization. Excellent customer service is a must for this role as you direct and advise on personnel decisions of colleagues professional lives. Job Responsibilities Process US and Canadian payroll, with accuracy and timeliness Problem-solveto remediate any processing errors Apply discretion in decision-making for maintaining compliance as well as a high level of customer service Communicate effectively with local management teams to ensure accurate payroll processing Approach process and system with a continuous improvement mindset Complete and balance all required payroll reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness Complete accurately Form 941, W2, T4, and other relevant tax documentation for all Client subsidiaries Maintain data compliantly and securely Ensure accurate process documentation inclusive ofmanuals and SOP’s Provide guidance and support to Client employees timely, accurately and professionally Serve as secondary processor for US and Canadian non-exempt payrolls Collaborate with management and other departments across the organization for top notch customer service Job Requirements Minimum of three years of general office/accounting experience; payroll experience preferred Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience Intermediate understanding of accounting/mathematical procedures is required Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Strong strategic thinking and a firm attention to detail are a must Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking forms Knowledge of Client business units/structure preferred Superior attention to detail with the ability to locate discrepancies Motivation to be innovative with a continuous improvement mindset Exceptional customer service, organization and time management skills Special projects may be given to help support management metrics Ability to set goals, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines Comfortable making quick/calculated decisions Knowledge of IBM (CICS & IMS) and MDM systems Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Must be able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing in order to effectively communicate in person or by phone Physical requirements include standing, filing, bending, sitting for extended periods of time and working on the telephone Excited about this role but don’t meet Company Description Ageatia was built on the principle of becoming a leading provider of workforce solutions for clients and candidates across the Engineering, Healthcare, Scientific and Information Technology industries.
