Litigation Legal AssistantWe are looking for a seasoned Litigation Legal Assistant to assist attorneys in handling active personal injury cases in Michigan courts. This role is perfect for a legal professional who excels in a dynamic litigation setting, has a grasp of plaintiff-side personal injury law, and is adept at multitasking and meeting deadlines.ResponsibilitiesSupport attorneys with administrative and litigation tasks throughout personal injury cases.Create, edit, and lodge pleadings, motions, letters, and other legal paperwork.Compile and submit documents using Michigan court e-filing systems.Stay on top of litigation deadlines, court orders, time limits, and schedules.Arrange depositions, hearings, mediations, case evaluations, and court appearances.Aid in all stages of discovery, including interrogatories, document requests, subpoenas, and medical records.Interact professionally with clients, opposing lawyers, medical professionals, experts, and court staff.Organize and manage medical records, evidence, documents, and case files.Prepare litigation binders, deposition materials, exhibits, and trial documents.Support attorneys in mediation, case evaluations, and trial preparations.QualificationsPrevious experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant, particularly in plaintiff-side personal injury.Solid understanding of Michigan court regulations and e-filing processes.Proficiency in managing litigation schedules and court deadlines.Familiarity with the discovery process and preparing litigation documents.
