Work Environment\n

This remote position allows for flexibility while you focus on providing vital social work services within a school setting. Although primarily remote, you may occasionally need to attend school events or meetings conducted in-person, ensuring that you remain actively involved in the educational community. Adherence to regular business hours is essential, with the possibility of occasional evening or weekend work depending on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of students to identify their social, emotional, and environmental challenges.

• Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with students and families, outlining clear goals, tailored interventions, and progress tracking.

• Provide one-on-one and family counseling to help students navigate life challenges, including academic pressures, trauma, and personal issues.
\n
• Conduct crisis interventions and risk assessments to ensure student safety, followed by creating comprehensive safety plans as necessary.

• Coordinate with school staff, parents, and community organizations to advocate for necessary resources and support systems.
\n
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness of our services and foster connections with local resources that benefit students and their families.

• Participate actively in team case conferences, sharing insights and collaborating on strategies to improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with students ranging from elementary to high school, many of whom face complex social and emotional challenges. Your expertise will be vital in helping them develop coping strategies, access educational resources, and connect with community services that promote mental health. Additionally, you will work with families, aiding them in understanding and supporting their children through various life transitions.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Strong knowledge of social and economic justice issues relevant to youth and education.

Compensation and Benefits\n
