Pharmacist in Charge in Norristown, PA

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director to oversee a 503A compounding pharmacy's operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency in both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes.


Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, maintaining full regulatory accountability.
• Serve as the main liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational or ownership changes, facility modifications, and PIC transitions.
• Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production personnel.
• Oversee batch record creation, execution, review, and approval, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Support scheduling for production to guarantee on-time delivery, inventory control, and capacity planning.
• Uphold quality assurance initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
• Thorough knowledge of USP , , , and applicable state and federal regulations governing 503A compounding pharmacies.
• Proven track record in leading audits and successfully managing regulatory inspections.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays as needed.
