Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct intake interviews with new clients, gathering comprehensive data to assess and diagnose their mental health needs effectively.

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to the unique situations and goals of each client.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including progress notes, closures, and transfer summaries, ensuring compliance with best practices in clinical documentation.

• Develop and manage specialized services within the Behavioral Health Department, including coordinating programs that respond to specific community mental health needs.

• Create and assist in establishing community resources aimed at preventive mental health services, thus fostering a supportive environment for individuals in need.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals grappling with trauma, co-occurring disorders, addiction issues, and more. Your expertise will be invaluable in addressing the complexities associated with these conditions, providing both immediate support and long-term strategies for recovery. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• Two (2) years of practical experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on crisis management and addiction issues.
\n
• Strong understanding of various mental health conditions, including trauma, homelessness, PTS, and related co-occurring disorders.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, respecting their experiences while providing empathetic support and guidance.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with electronic health record systems (EHR) to document client interactions and treatment plans.

• Demonstrated ability to develop community partnerships and resources that enhance preventive mental health services.
