Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office, where you will engage in one-on-one therapy sessions—offering a chance to build meaningful relationships with your patients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients with orthopedic challenges, assessing their movement, strength, and pain levels.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and progress of each patient.
• Regularly reassess clinical signs and symptoms, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on patient feedback and progress.
• Document patient progress meticulously through electronic health records, including SOAP notes and treatment summaries, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing.
• Educate patients and family members about the rehabilitation process, addressing challenges and setting realistic recovery goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to provide integrated care for patients receiving multiple services.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of practice standards and protocols.
• Promote a culture of teamwork and uphold the clinic's core values, serving as a representative of our commitment to quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will primarily be focused on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, which may include athletes, the elderly, and individuals striving to regain mobility after surgeries such as hip or knee replacements. Your ability to connect with clients of diverse backgrounds, ages, and medical histories will be essential in delivering personalized care that reflects their unique needs and aspirations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted licensure to practice in Florida, as mandated by the Board of Physical Therapy.
• Willingness to conduct evaluations and provide treatment both in-person and through telehealth platforms if clinically appropriate.
• A strong commitment to working collaboratively with a wide array of patients, embracing diversity in age, race, and background.
• Flexibility and adaptability to navigate the dynamic nature of medical practice today.
• A patient-centered approach, demonstrating outstanding customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting will be advantageous. Familiarity with digital documentation systems and telehealth platforms is also beneficial. Compensation and Benefits
