Lecturer Pool - Art, Media, and Design AY 2026/27 Cal State University (CSU) San Marcos College: College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral and Social Sciences Department: Art, Media, and Design Position: Lecturer - Academic Year Academic Year: 2026/27 Day/Time: Varies Modality: In-person The Department of Art, Media, and Design at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for its pool of part‑time lecturers across Art and Visual Culture and Digital and Media Arts. Salary is commensurate with credential and experience. Applicants in this pool may be hired for short‑term or temporary Lecturer positions ranging from one day to an entire semester, with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments are made as needed throughout the academic year. This pool will be closed effective May 31 2026; the next academic year pool will open by June 15 2027. Minimum Qualifications A master’s degree or terminal degree in the area of instruction or equivalent experience. Compliance with the California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy: employment only within California. Preferred Qualifications Evidence of intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and (when applicable) service. Salary Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full‑time month. CSU Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month. CSU Lecturer B - AY: $6,221 – $13,224 per full‑time month.
