Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked international law firm seeking a 2nd to 5th year Litigation Associate to join its New York, NY office on an in office basis. This role focuses on general commercial litigation and is well suited to an associate who enjoys hands on case work, clear writing, and taking ownership of meaningful workstreams from discovery through motion practice. The team offers a sophisticated platform with a collaborative, partner led approach. Associates are encouraged to develop strong litigation judgment and to build a well rounded skill set through direct engagement with attorneys across the matter team. The Opportunity You will support commercial disputes on both the defense and plaintiff side, with responsibilities that include managing and executing discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and contributing to hearing preparation and argument as experience permits. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 2nd to 5th year Litigation Associate with: 2 to 5 years of commercial litigation experience Demonstrated experience managing discovery and drafting pleadings and motions Strong writing, analytical skills, and confident verbal communication Outstanding academic credentials Active admission to the New York Bar Comfort working in office five days per week in New York Why This Opportunity Stands Out This is a strong option for an associate seeking a high quality litigation platform and consistent responsibility within commercial disputes.
