Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and well-being to develop tailored treatment plans.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and families through in-person sessions and telehealth options.
\n
• Utilizing therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as appropriate for client needs.

• Documenting client progress and treatment plans using electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to all HIPAA confidentiality requirements.

• Facilitating group therapy sessions focused on specific areas such as trauma, grief, or LGBTQ+ issues to enhance support networks among peers.

• Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients to foster trust and a sense of safety in the therapeutic environment.

• Engaging in continuous professional development through training and supervision to enhance therapy skills and cultural competencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve range from adolescents to adults and encompass diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Our focus is to provide empathetic and individualized care that respects each client's unique story and family dynamics. Special emphasis is placed on offering bilingual services in both English and Spanish, ensuring accessibility and understanding for our Latino community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Possession of an active, unrestricted LMFT license in the state of New Jersey.

• Demonstrated proficiency in bilingual psychotherapy, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a mental health setting, specifically working with families and children.
\n
• A deep respect for the cultural perspectives of clients, ensuring therapeutic practices are sensitive and relevant to individual needs.

• Comfortability working with clients across a spectrum of demographics and backgrounds.

• A commitment to continuous learning and the ability to engage in self-reflection and personal growth.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in areas such as Trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, Grief & Loss, or Perinatal Mental Health.

• Experience using EHR software and Microsoft Office Suite, demonstrating effective administrative skills.

• Prior experience working as an in-network provider with insurance panels.

• A history of facilitating therapy sessions within a remote or hybrid model.
