Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders in clients, establishing a clinical foundation for treatment.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are aligned with each client’s unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals, utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Monitor client progress regularly, maintaining detailed documentation of treatment interventions and outcomes, and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal care.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, equipping them with the knowledge to understand treatment options and self-care techniques.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer integrated care, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support across all facets of their health.

• Stay current with emerging research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance care strategies and improve client outcomes.

• Engage in advocacy efforts to reduce the stigma around mental health, ensuring our clients’ voices are heard and needs are met effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clients often come from varied backgrounds, including those facing challenges related to homelessness, trauma, and domestic violence. You will provide crucial therapeutic support to help them navigate their experiences and foster a path toward recovery and stability.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold an active Washington State license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required for this position.
