Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the 28-bed inpatient observation unit, addressing medical beds, trauma overflow, and holds
- Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, recognize changes in acuity, and intervene per physician orders
- Administer medications and treatments, manage IV lines, wound care, and other standard med-surg responsibilities
- Document care accurately in the medical record, coordinate with the multidisciplinary team, and communicate updates to families when appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, unit charge nurses, and ancillary staff; maintain appropriate infection control and safety practices
- May float to other areas of competency as patient needs and unit demand require

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience in an acute care setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts; 4 days per week; may float to other areas of competency
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced observation unit and support a dynamic patient population
- Onboarding requires demographic documentation and a badge photo submission
