Payroll Specialist

Position Overview Vaco Indianapolis is seeking a Payroll Specialist to work full‑time onsite on the east side of Indianapolis. Responsibilities Prepare and process full‑cycle weekly, multi‑state payroll utilizing iCIMS Run/audit reports and timesheets to identify discrepancies; send time discrepancy notices and enter PTO requests and corrections Collect overtime requests and calculate weekly overtime accruals Update employee attendance calendars Provide superior customer service ensuring timely response to high volume of email requests Update prepaid schedule and record payroll entries Review payroll taxes (create schedule if outstanding balance) Review and set up garnishment deductions Record manual checks Attend training sessions and conferences to stay current with new developments in the payroll system software used by the Corporation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices Work closely with Human Resources to maintain accurate payroll processing Compensation & Benefits Salary range for the role is disclosed in the job posting. Eligible for discretionary bonuses and participation in medical, dental, vision benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
