Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' psychosocial needs upon intake, evaluating emotional, mental, and social factors that impact their recovery process.

• Provide therapeutic counseling sessions to clients dealing with substance use issues, helping them navigate emotional challenges and promoting coping strategies.

• Advocate for client rights and facilitate access to community resources, ensuring that each individual receives the necessary support throughout their treatment.

• Coordinate closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and addiction specialists, to ensure comprehensive care is delivered.

• Monitor clients' progress with regular follow-up visits, assessing their living situations and making necessary adjustments to care plans based on changing needs.

• Facilitate family meetings to address dynamics affecting client recovery and negotiate solutions that foster supportive home environments.

• Educate clients and their families about available community resources, support groups, and programs to enhance their engagement in recovery and rebuilding their social connections.

• Maintain detailed records of client interactions, assessments, and progress notes using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals enrolled in our detox program, many of whom may be experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders or significant life stresses. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities associated with substance use challenges and the impacts they have on clients’ families and social networks. You will apply your skills to connect with clients authentically, building trust and supporting them through their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of experience in social work, ideally within a detox, addiction, or therapeutic setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
