Our organization’s Department of Cardiology is on the lookout for a full-time, board eligible/certified non-invasive cardiologist to become a part of our cardiology team at Peconic Bay Medical Center located in Riverhead, NY. This is a unique chance for healthcare professionals to immerse themselves in a dynamic and extensive network, contributing to the development of definitive care pathways and enhancing cardiovascular excellence throughout eastern Long Island, all while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team within our Cardiovascular Institute.

The perfect candidate will possess board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography. Additional certifications in nuclear cardiology and cardiac CTA are preferred.

Established in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center stands as the largest hospital in Eastern Suffolk County and serves as the Eastern Hub of our organization, which is the largest healthcare provider in New York. As a non-profit community hospital with 200 beds, we are the primary source for advanced healthcare services for over 250,000 residents in the Riverhead area, Eastern Central Suffolk County, and Long Island's North Fork. Our facilities include an Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory equipped for STEMI procedures, a Level III Trauma Center, and a New York State-Designated Stroke Center.

Our Cardiovascular Institute unites healthcare providers from across the system to collaboratively deliver exceptional care, engage in teaching and training, conduct research, and connect with the community, all while striving to elevate the quality of care provided. The Institute’s Centers of Excellence—covering areas such as Arrhythmia, Atherosclerosis, Heart/Lung Failure, Prevention/Wellness, Pediatric/Adult Congenital, Valvular, Vascular, and Women's Heart Health—focus on the cardiovascular patient and care team, ensuring comprehensive and expert care throughout the network. Our extensive clinical programs encompass all facets of cardiovascular medicine, intervention, and surgery. With approximately 400 cardiologists across the system, we serve patients in 100 office locations and 23 hospitals (including six tertiary and one quaternary), employing a team-based approach to deliver innovative heart care for conditions often deemed "untreatable." Given our organization’s broad reach, we have designated regional leaders who are tasked with overseeing the region and collaborating with local and system representatives to ensure consistent and streamlined strategies.
