Key Responsibilities\n

• Assist with evaluating and responding to mental health referrals through Maxient, ensuring real-time updates to patient records in compliance with confidentiality standards.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, strictly adhering to federal and state laws and ethical standards of practice.
\n
• Deliver professional development and outreach initiatives to students, faculty, and staff on essential mental health topics, promoting awareness and education.
\n
• Consult with students, faculty, and staff about mental health initiatives, providing best practices for supporting individuals facing psychological challenges.
\n
• Plan, implement, and deliver various mental health services aimed at supporting students' wellness, academic success, and overall retention, including mental health prevention outreach activities.
\n
• Conduct individual and group assessments, counseling, and interventions dealing with diverse health-related concerns, including mental health and substance abuse issues.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis counseling for students in distress and conduct necessary interventions, ensuring swift and appropriate support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will focus on a diverse patient population comprising students, faculty, and staff from various backgrounds. As a mental health counselor at Easing Thoughts, you will address a wide range of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current state license as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or LMFT. Note that we currently cannot accept applicants with associate licenses due to billing limitations through Medicare.

• Required to possess a master's degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

• Excellent computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite, enabling efficient documentation and communication.

• Self-motivated and capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple cases simultaneously.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred, offering a broad understanding of mental health issues across the lifespan.

• Background in supporting individuals facing academic related stressors and mental health challenges.

• Competitive salary range of USD 50,000 – 122,000 yearly, depending on experience and full-time or part-time status.
