In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year. Responsibilities University Radiology is looking for a Registered Nurse with the willingness to FLOAT to our East Brunswick, Metuchen, & Warren (University Radiology Vascular & Interventional Center), NJ Imaging Offices. In this role, you will have the opportunity to cover various shifts in these locations in order to accommodate business needs. This role is eligible for a 10% float differential. MONDAY - FRIDAY 8 HOUR SHIFTS or 4 10'S SCHEDULE (40hr work week) Major Responsibilities/Tasks: Administering medications during procedures for conscious sedation Monitoring of vital signs during procedure Perform venipuncture and start IVs and Hep-Locks, and access ports Storing, checking and administering drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines, including maintenance of narcotic log. Providing technical assistance during procedures, ensuring safe working practice. Assist with monitoring of patients recovering from conscious sedation. Ensuring the safe discharge of all patients who have had procedures Maintaining timely and accurate nursing records and ensuring that confidentiality is respected. Working directly on Electronic Medical Record system for the electronic management of patient information Responsible for the accuracy of client information entered into the Electronic Medical Record system. Triage all emergency situations. Assist with Center flow and clean up. Contributing to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or Demonstrate clear knowledge and accountability of quality regulations and standards. Administering moderate sedation while monitoring intervention radiology patients during procedures. Recovering patients who have received sedation after Interventional Radiology procedures *May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and mustbe able toadhere to all department and facility safety protocols. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Registered Nurse License to practice in the State of NJ Minimum of 5 years’ experience as registered nurse, at least 2 years experience with conscious sedation or ER/ICU experience is preferable. Pay Range: From $40/hr The rate provided is based on industry standards for candidates with 0 – 5 years of experience.
