HR Specialist

HR Specialist (Temporary), Honolulu, HI (Downtown), Full Time, Temporary (3+ months) Pay: $19.35-$25.80 per hour, depending on experience. Schedule & Location Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Onsite role in Downtown Honolulu Parking not provided Start ASAP, anticipated duration: ~3 months (may extend based on business needs) Key Responsibilities Health and welfare plan administration: enrollments, changes, terminations; respond to benefits inquiries and escalations. Coordinate billing, payment requests and documentation. Pre-employment processes: background checks, onboarding coordination, scheduling start dates, orientations, onboarding audits. Support onboarding experience for new hires and hiring managers. Maintain accurate HRIS records, track recruitment data, assist with weekly reporting and status updates, develop HR dashboards and reports. Assist with employee wellness initiatives, benefits open enrollment, new hire orientation, internal HR communications. Develop and deliver employee education and training materials. Respond to internal and external HR inquiries promptly and professionally. Process improvement, data analysis, special projects; backup support for leave administration and compliance-related processes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain documentation and required reporting. Minimum 2+ years of HR-related experience, preferably in benefits administration, HRIS, onboarding/recruiting, or HR operations. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for required experience.
