Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs to create personalized treatment plans.
• Implement hands-on therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Guide patients through both active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and activities of daily living to promote recovery and independence.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and proper exercise techniques to foster compliance and motivation.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Document patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans accurately and timely within our electronic medical record systems to facilitate continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base that spans various age groups and conditions, including post-operative orthopedic patients, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient-centric approach allows you to build lasting relationships and provide holistic care that addresses both physical rehabilitation and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's Degree.
• A current and active State Physical Therapy license is mandatory.
• Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice.
• Strong clinical assessment skills coupled with proficiency in both manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in working with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries such as joint replacements or repairs.
• Candidates with board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy will be given preference.
• A background in educational support for patients that enhances their understanding of treatment processes.
