Associate – Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Location: Chicago
Experience Level: 2–6 years
Practice Area: Corporate – M&A
Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm that is hiring a talented Corporate M&A Associate with at least 2 years of experience to join its Chicago-based team.
What You’ll Do:
Advise on complex mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings
Focus on company-side representation and strategic acquisitions
Draft and negotiate core transaction documents
Manage deal processes alongside senior partners and clients
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 2 full years of M&A-focused experience
Strong deal sheet and demonstrated responsibility in transactions
Experience representing corporate buyers preferred
Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills
Strong academic background and BigLaw or mid-size firm experience
