HR Generalist

Reports To: Director of Human Resources Location: Walnut Creek Facility (2150 SR 39 Sugarcreek, OH 44681) Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00AM-4:30PM Summary This position is a member of the HR Team primarily focusing on the development and implementation of human resource policies for all Ohio facilities, while also providing HR guidance and assistance for the employees at the Walnut Creek Facility. Candidate is expected to uphold and represent ProVia’s purpose, vision, mission and values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies Assist in onboarding new employees Complete all offboarding activities for the Walnut Creek Facility Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, concerns, and allegations, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, and policy violations. Schedule and complete quarterly random and new hire follow up drug screens Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions Responsible for handling PSTD, Worker’s Compensation, and Leave tracking for all Holmes county facilities Cross train for other aspects of HR Other duties as assigned Qualifications This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Previous HR law experience is preferred Previous experience with Worker’s Compensation, FMLA, and ADA preferred Must be able to work effectively with many different types of personalities and be flexible to accommodate other schedules Must remain unbiased when dealing with current employees Confidentiality is key in all aspects of this position Must be able to handle difficult situations in a calm and professional manner Proficient in Microsoft Office Physical Demands Ability to sit or stand, using a desktop computer or a laptop, as well as other office equipment and supplies continuously. #J-18808-Ljbffr
