A rewarding opportunity awaits enthusiastic Special Education Teachers eager to make an impact in elementary and middle school settings near Aurora, IL. This contract role spans from August 11, 2026, to May 24, 2027, offering the chance to work onsite across several locations and serve students in both inclusion/resource and structured classroom environments.
Multiple positions are available:
- Hall Elementary: Inclusion/resource model, caseload of 9-10 students.
- Reskin Elementary: Two roles—one inclusion/resource (caseload 6-9) and one structured classroom for high-incidence students (five students, two paraprofessional supports).
- Marquardt Middle School: Co- taught/instructional ELA (caseload of 8-9 students).
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
- Proven experience supporting K-8 students in special education, with strengths in inclusion/resource or structured classroom settings.
- Comfortable addressing student behaviors, adapting strategies to meet a variety of needs, and assisting with toileting if necessary.
- Strong collaboration skills, adaptable approach, and commitment to supporting both students and paraprofessionals.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized education and support within resource, inclusion, and structured settings.
- Develop, modify, and implement IEPs in collaboration with school teams and parents/guardians.
- Communicate and work alongside general education teachers and support staff.
- Advocate for students’ educational and behavioral needs, employing evidence-based interventions.
- Create engaging, inclusive classroom environments that promote growth for all learners.
