Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for new clients, evaluating their strengths, challenges, and needs while completing all necessary intake documentation.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique circumstances and needs of each client.

• Develop specific psychological interventions aimed at empowering clients to achieve their personal and educational goals.

• Provide individual and family counseling sessions, addressing various issues that impact mental health and academic performance.

• Collaborate with parents, educators, and community resources to coordinate effective support plans that foster a supportive environment for the clients.

• Offer timely crisis intervention as needed, thoroughly documenting all actions taken in accordance with organizational policies and legal standards.

• Maintain open lines of communication with clients and their families, providing assistance over the phone and fostering a supportive dialogue.

• Ensure compliance with California state licensing requirements, while actively participating in ongoing professional development activities.

• Provide regular feedback to interdisciplinary team members regarding client progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position specifically focuses on school-aged children and their families, particularly those managing chronic emotional and behavioral challenges. You will work collaboratively with school personnel to create a nurturing educational environment where students can thrive. The goal is to address the psychological factors affecting students’ academic performance and social interactions, ensuring they receive the necessary support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate program is required.

• Must hold a current California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation, issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

• At least 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting is mandatory, with a focus on child and adolescent therapy preferred.

• Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals by the American Heart Association is required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in practical assessment, interviewing, and counseling techniques, particularly in a school-based setting.

• Exceptional organizational and critical-thinking skills, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $90,000.00 to $100,000 annually, along with a full complement of benefits.
