About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP, Technology Governance Leader to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall process governance strategy across all technology sub-functions, providing thought leadership and expertise in critical first-line defense governance functions. This includes centralized leadership for process and policy governance, reporting, process risk assessments, and surveillance standardization. The SVP will also be tasked with evolving the company's end-to-end control strategies, framework, and solutions to drive stronger preventative controls and limit losses due to internal control failures. Essential responsibilities for this role include leading and developing professionals in governance activities, executing a risk-based governance structure, and overseeing the tech issues governance process. The SVP will be a key player in driving improvements in issues management processes and will be responsible for the governance of operational resiliency. Applicants for the SVP, Technology Governance Leader position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 15 years of relevant management experience, including a minimum of 10 years leading governance teams and creating a risk culture. A strong background in interacting with external financial regulatory agencies and a deep knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to technology, collections, operations, and fraud are essential. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization, excellent people leadership skills, and a proven track record of developing high-potential talent. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with experience in defining and influencing strategy, and will have a strong operational knowledge of operating metrics and processes. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a desired characteristic, and the candidate should be a skilled communicator with the ability to drive value by balancing efficiency and effectiveness measures.
