Full-Time Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care Specialist

Position Overview

Carexus Health Diagnostics Center is actively seeking dedicated and skilled full-time Nurse Practitioners to join our Urgent Care team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be integral to diagnosing and treating health conditions, as well as promoting overall wellness through patient education and community health initiatives. As an advanced practice registered nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care in an outpatient clinical setting.

Our multidisciplinary team, consisting of 5 medical doctors and 5 nurse practitioners, collaborates closely to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive, timely care. Work Environment

The work setting is primarily onsite at our modern Urgent Care facility, where you will engage with patients in a dynamic and supportive environment. Operating weekdays from 5:00 PM, our clinic serves a diverse population with varying healthcare needs, ensuring that each patient receives the individualized attention they deserve. As a full-time Nurse Practitioner, you will work 40 hours a week, allowing for a schedule that balances work commitments and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and reviewing patients' medical histories.
• Ordering, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies to diagnose health issues.
• Formulating and implementing treatment plans for both chronic and acute health conditions.
• Prescribing medications and monitoring patient progress.
• Documenting patient care activities, including diagnostics, medication administration, and follow-up care, in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engaging with patients to educate them about their health conditions and the prescribed care, fostering a strong nurse-patient relationship.
• Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Participating in health education sessions for patients and families to promote disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Staying current with the latest clinical practices and healthcare advancements through ongoing professional development and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a varied patient population ranging from infants to senior adults, addressing an array of urgent and non-urgent health concerns. Your ability to connect with patients and understand their unique needs will be crucial in promoting better health outcomes. Working alongside our experienced medical team, you will be central to ensuring continuity of care and effective patient management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
• A valid State Nurse Practitioner license, with ANP/FNP certification required.
• A DEA number to prescribe controlled substances.
• Proven clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an emergency room, urgent care, or primary care setting.
• A solid foundation in patient care regulations and healthcare standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
• A strong ethical compass to comply with legal and moral medical practices.
• A collaborative spirit and a positive attitude to foster teamwork within our clinic.

Preferred Experience

While specific experience may vary, preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Experience in acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, family health, or ED.
• Demonstrated capability in managing diverse patient populations, including knowledge of bilingual care provision.
• A record of continuous education and involvement in the nursing community.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package is competitive, offering a yearly salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits program includes:
