Seaport Orthopedic PT is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a home care setting. Work Environment

This position is onsite and involves visiting patients in their homes, where you will assess their environment and address their unique challenges. Our work environment fosters collaboration among professionals from various disciplines, including physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers. This teamwork is crucial in ensuring the best possible patient outcomes. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical functions, including strength, range of motion, and mobility challenges.
• Employ advanced diagnostic techniques to assess patient needs and formulate effective treatment strategies.
• Design and implement personalized therapy programs that focus on restoring function, alleviating pain, and enhancing overall wellness.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, and more specialized interventions as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, home exercise routines, and injury prevention techniques.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, case managers, and nursing staff—to optimize treatment plans and drive successful patient outcomes.
• Maintain open communication with patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring a positive and supportive rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will cater to a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. As this role involves home care, therapists must effectively assess each patient's living environment and tailor treatment approaches to their specific needs, enhancing their comfort and recovery.

Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in orthopedic and sports medicine contexts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for helping patients achieve meaningful recovery.
• Ability to operate autonomously while also being a collaborative team player.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly in orthopedic outpatient care.
• Familiarity with current rehabilitation protocols and best practices in physical therapy.
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits
