Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite in a home care setting, allowing therapists to provide therapy in personalized environments that promote comfort and healing. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and identify treatment requirements.
• Design, implement, and monitor customized therapy programs that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to address physical impairments.
• Document patient progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other health professionals, to create comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise programs, home modifications, and strategies to enhance mobility and safety.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring adherence to professional standards in all treatment settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that impact their mobility and functional abilities. Our patient population includes individuals of varied ages, but there is a significant focus on the elderly, who may have unique health challenges that require specialized therapeutic approaches. Our therapists strive to restore independence and improve the quality of life for each patient.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; however, a Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and engage with patients and their families.
• Excellent organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple patients and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• A commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices in physical therapy and pursuing professional development opportunities.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
