Work Environment

This position will be mainly onsite, delivering home care to patients throughout Tampa. Working in patients' homes allows for a truly personalized approach to therapy, tailoring each session to individual needs and preferences. You will have the autonomy to develop treatment plans that can directly address the unique challenges faced by each patient. The Clinic provides the tools you need, including access to electronic medical records systems for effective documentation and communication with other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions in their home environments, developing tailored treatment plans to improve function and quality of life.
• Engage in ongoing communication with referring physicians and healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care.
• Incorporate patient feedback and data from assessments to refine treatment approaches and enhance patient outcomes.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education regarding self-management strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all relevant regulations, submitting charges for services in a timely manner.
• Foster open communication with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure understanding and compliance with treatment plans.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and educational programs to promote health and wellness, contributing to our mission of community service.
• Mentor and provide clinical education to physical therapy students and less experienced staff, supporting their professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Revitalize Wellness, you will primarily work with adult patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions related to the musculoskeletal system. The goal is to help them regain mobility, strength, and independence. You will be responsible for fostering a trusting relationship with patients, adapting your approach to accommodate their individual needs and preferences, ensuring every treatment session contributes positively to their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, coworkers, and adjust care based on patient feedback.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and other relevant software tools.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in an orthopedic focused physical therapy role is essential.
