Work Environment

You will work in an onsite Rehabilitation Center located in the heart of Tampa. Our facility is equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and technologies that enhance the treatment process. The standard work schedule consists of 40 hours per week, including variable weekends, allowing for flexibility in meeting our patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, identifying functional limitations and disabilities that hinder their recovery.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate best practices and patient preferences, continually assessing and adjusting these plans based on progress.
• Consult with other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive continuum of care for patients, maintaining effective communication regarding treatment plans and progress updates.
• Provide thorough patient education on rehabilitation exercises, recovery protocols, and overall health and wellness practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and continuing education, contributing to a culture of learning and excellence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. We aim to provide personalized care that is culturally competent and responsive to the diverse backgrounds of our patients. Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Must hold a valid state license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) certified by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required to ensure proficiency in complex evaluation and intervention methods.
• Current CPR certification is necessary for maintaining the highest level of patient safety.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, we encourage applications from those with a background in specialized orthopedic programs and those who may have worked in diverse healthcare settings. Experience with advanced therapy modalities and rehabilitation technologies will be considered an asset.
