Work Environment

This is an onsite role, where our Physical Therapists work directly with patients in a structured clinical environment. Key Responsibilities

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Examining and evaluating patients to develop individualized treatment plans addressing their specific orthopedic conditions and functional limitations.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each patient's continuum of care, providing consultations as needed.
• Engaging in effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring they understand treatment modalities and expected outcomes.
• Performing hands-on therapy including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training tailored to enhance patient mobility and overall health.
• Documenting all evaluations, treatments, and progress in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and clinical standards.
• Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives and community outreach programs to promote the clinic's services.
• Mentoring and overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants and interns, ensuring they understand best practices and provide quality care.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development through attending workshops and in-service training sessions to stay current in orthopedic rehabilitation methods.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on patients dealing with orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain conditions, and mobility impairments. The clinic serves a wide demographic, including athletes, elderly patients, and those recovering from injuries or surgeries. Your ability to adapt treatment techniques based on individual patient needs will be crucial in achieving optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Must possess a current state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required, candidates with specialized training in advanced therapeutic techniques or manual therapy certifications will be viewed favorably.
