Work Environment

Our Tampa rehabilitation facility is a state-of-the-art environment focused on fostering patient recovery and wellness. The work week typically consists of 40 hours from Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced schedule that promotes work-life harmony.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess their functional abilities and limitations.
• Design and implement tailored treatment programs based on the individual needs of orthopedic patients, ensuring a focus on improving mobility and reducing pain.
• Administer skilled therapeutic care procedures at the rehabilitation facility and, when appropriate, in the patient's home.
• Utilize advanced techniques and modalities to stimulate healing and rehabilitation, collaborating with the healthcare team to maximize patient outcomes.
• Engage in effective communication with patients and their caregivers, providing invaluable education on exercises and self-management strategies.
• Meet and exceed established utilization goals and contribute to overall organizational objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily treat patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will also extend to pediatric and neurologic patients, as the facility caters to a diverse client base. Your compassionate approach will help foster trust and motivate patients through their recovery processes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in word processing and general computer usage.
• A track record of establishing strong patient relationships that empower them to achieve and exceed their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience in orthopedic physical therapy, knowledge of manual therapy techniques, and familiarity with sports medicine will have an advantage. Compensation and Benefits
