Work Environment

This full-time physical therapist position is structured around a vibrant home care model, allowing you to engage with patients within the comfort of their residences. Our onsite work setting fosters a direct and impactful relationship with clients, facilitating personalized treatment plans that reflect their specific needs. You will work from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced professional schedule while consistently providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments by gathering information on patients' health, medical histories, and mobility challenges to establish clear therapeutic goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, integrating various therapeutic techniques that prioritize patient safety and optimize outcomes.
• Administer therapies effectively and efficiently to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility, incorporating manual therapy techniques as needed.
• Maintain an active patient load, typically 1 patient per hour, allowing for focused, high-quality care and comprehensive progress tracking.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems like WebPT to document patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes accurately.
• Encourage a proactive approach to health and wellness by promoting non-surgical interventions and minimizing reliance on medication.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, adjusting treatment protocols based on objective evaluations and feedback.
• Collaboration is essential; engage with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and facilitate shared insights into treatment approaches.
• Motivate and inspire patients throughout the therapeutic process to foster adherence to fitness and wellness programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population within the Tampa area, ranging from individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries to those managing chronic pain conditions or rehabilitating from injury. Your commitment to individualized care will empower clients by enhancing strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall functional performance.

Qualifications

• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida with no record of board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing customized exercise programs.
• Experience and comfort with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for streamlined patient management.
• Demonstrable ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, specifically within home care or community health environments.
• Experience in developing and implementing intervention strategies aimed at decreasing pain and improving functional outcomes will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
