Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their orthopedic conditions, taking detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Develop and implement specialized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
• Utilize hands-on therapy techniques and customized exercise programs to enhance functional mobility and alleviate pain.
• Educate patients and their families on effective at-home care strategies, preventive exercises, and self-management techniques to encourage ongoing recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will predominantly work with patients suffering from a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and orthopedic disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of patient needs and an ability to motivate individuals at different stages of their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Current and active state licensure for practicing Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, including completion of internships or residencies.
• Extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, pathology, and treatment strategies.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, and exercise prescription aimed at pain management and functional enhancement.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary partners.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting is highly desirable.
• Certification in specialized techniques, such as dry needling or McKenzie Method, will be considered an asset.
• Previous involvement in clinical education or mentoring of less experienced staff is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
