Work Environment

The work setting at our Gibsonton facility is geared towards creating a holistic treatment atmosphere designed to foster patient healing and wellness. As part of our dedicated team, you will find a collaborative outpatient office where two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) work together to optimize patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include conducting one-on-one sessions in a spacious, well-equipped therapy area, ensuring that each patient receives individualized attention and care tailored to their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify patients' goals and needs, tailoring interventions accordingly.
• Manage a patient caseload with the expectation of one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality treatment and personal engagement.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic physical therapy to develop and implement effective treatment plans that improve patients' mobility.
• Provide evidence-based interventions that focus on enhancing range of motion while significantly reducing reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
• Design and promote customized fitness and wellness programs that address the diverse needs of your patient population.
• Document all patient care services meticulously, maintaining clear communication with patients and their families regarding progress and treatment plans.
• Motivate and educate patients regarding their rehabilitation process to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.
• Evaluate and adjust treatment protocols based on ongoing assessment of patient progress and therapy outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. The goal is to provide tailored interventions that help maximize their functional capabilities, enhance independence, and improve their overall quality of life. Our focus is on creating a rehabilitation pathway that not only restores movement but also equips patients with the strategies to maintain their health long-term.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Hold an active and valid state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Exhibit a clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in manual therapy techniques and familiarity with utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Possess strong capabilities in designing and implementing effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Operational knowledge of EMR Software, especially WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Experience developing fitness and wellness programs aimed at improving patient outcomes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Employees will benefit from:
