Work Environment

Located in beautiful Brandon, Florida, our rehabilitation facility provides an onsite setting where healthcare professionals work closely together. The facility is designed to foster collaboration among therapists and healthcare providers, enabling comprehensive patient care. You will have the opportunity to work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, giving you a well-rounded work-life balance while dedicating time to patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will encompass a variety of essential responsibilities:

• Direct physical therapy treatments geared towards preventing disability, alleviating pain, and developing or restoring muscle function in alignment with individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional levels, utilizing diagnostic assessments and prognostic tools to guide effective treatment strategies.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises while instructing clients in non-manual exercises and functional activities, ensuring they are motivated and supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Implement various treatment modalities, such as traction and massage, alongside the application of physical agents to optimize healing processes.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, effectively communicating recommendations to the physician for patient-centered adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, focusing on orthopedic cases that include post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, and rehabilitation for sports-related injuries. Our patients range from young athletes to senior individuals requiring specialized care, each benefiting from customized therapy plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, with a focus on orthopedics, geriatrics, acute care, or outpatient settings.
• Proven proficiency in orthopedic assessment and treatment techniques, coupled with strong patient care planning skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities that enhance patient interactions and promote teamwork.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient progress efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in collaborative multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Prior involvement in best practice initiatives aimed at optimizing rehabilitation processes.
• Engagement in continuous learning and professional development within the field of physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
