This remote position allows you to provide exceptional mental health services to individuals and families regardless of their geographic location. Work Environment\n

This is a fully remote position, enabling you to offer therapeutic services through a telehealth platform which utilizes secure and user-friendly technologies. You will work primarily Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the scheduling needs of your clients. Our center invests in technology to maintain an effective communication flow and facilitate seamless interactions with clients and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments that respect and reflect the cultural backgrounds of patients, facilitating the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while integrating cultural relevant approaches.

• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions focusing on addressing mental health concerns and fostering personal and relational growth.
\n
• Work in concert with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide cohesive and comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support, enabling clients to navigate mental health emergencies effectively.
\n
• Educate patients and families about various mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower their journey toward recovery.

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical documentation standards by maintaining accurate and confidential records within our EHR system.
\n
• Actively engage in case discussions, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance your skill set and service delivery.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, best practices, and cultural considerations in mental health, applying new knowledge to your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a rich tapestry of clients, including individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. Our clients present with a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Your expertise will help navigate their unique experiences, enhancing their overall mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

• Profound understanding of mental health disorders and culturally competent therapeutic practices.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy with a focus on inclusivity.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in using technology for remote therapy.
\n
• A commitment to upholding ethical practices and maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health counseling setting is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth services is a plus, as the role relies heavily on digital communication tools to connect with clients.
