Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations in situ with law enforcement to assess individuals' mental health and determine the necessity for 5150/5585 involuntary detention applications.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of confidential client information while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
\n
• Collaborate directly with police officers in addressing mental health emergencies, ensuring a compassionate approach to crisis intervention.
\n
• Facilitate ongoing communication among law enforcement, Crisis Stabilization Units (CSUs), hospital staff, and psychiatrists to create cohesive response strategies.
\n
• Provide training to police personnel on effective de-escalation techniques to manage mental health episodes, promoting reduced reliance on force and fostering safer interactions.
\n
• Offer short-term crisis counseling to individuals facing non-violent mental health issues, guiding them through immediate psychological distress.

This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing acute mental health crises, those who have been arrested, and members of the broader community seeking support. Qualifications\n

• A valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 52,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
