Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense Litigation

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in the New York City Metropolitan Area to join its expanding litigation team. This role offers meaningful courtroom exposure, manageable caseloads, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a flagship office in Lower Manhattan. Duties Conduct and defend depositions independently Appear regularly in court Draft and argue substantive motions Participate in trial preparation and trial work Provide strategic reporting and analysis to carrier clients Respond to urgent incidents, including on‑site investigations Requirements 3+ years of New York insurance defense litigation experience Strong deposition experience Court appearance and motion practice experience Experience in New York Supreme Court practice Trucking and transportation litigation experience (preferred) Fraud‑focused insurance defense experience (preferred) Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree Certifications Admission to the New York Bar Skills Strong litigation and advocacy skills Ability to manage cases with increasing independence Excellent communication and analytical skills Benefits 401(k) plan Medical, dental, and vision coverage Medical and Dependent Care FSAs Life insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
