Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of students to identify counseling and mental health needs.
\n
• Utilize DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria to diagnose substance abuse issues and determine the appropriate level of care following ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) guidelines.

• Formulate and document comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring alignment with the substance abuse counseling curriculum.
\n
• Design and implement discharge and continuum of care plans to guide clients through their recovery journey.
\n
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, documenting all counseling sessions, assessments, and follow-up activities for each client.
\n
• Manage an active caseload, conducting ongoing treatment planning, clinical charting, and case management updates.
\n
• Coordinate with family members, support services, and referral sources including schools, legal entities, and employers to provide holistic care.
\n
• Facilitate interventions for crisis situations, leveraging a multi-disciplinary team approach to best support the client’s immediate needs.

This role primarily focuses on students experiencing mental health challenges, including those with substance use disorders. Your effective interventions will impact their academic performance, emotional resilience, and overall quality of life. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and a current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• Demonstrated professionalism, strong therapeutic boundaries, cultural competency, self-motivation, and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse student population, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within school systems or with youth populations.

• Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and familiarity with best practices in addiction treatment.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and understanding documentation requirements for clinical practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 105,000 annually. In addition to a robust salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as long-term and short-term disability insurance.
