Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, providing home care to patients in the Irvington area. You will be part of a close-knit team of healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in the comfort of patients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations through hands-on assessments and clinical judgment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize various therapeutic modalities including exercise prescription and manual therapy techniques.
• Maintain a patient caseload of one patient per hour, efficiently managing your time while delivering quality care tailored to each individual's needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care strategies and optimize patient outcomes.
• Regularly assess and document patients' progress, treatment adjustments, and outcomes to provide in-depth reports for stakeholders while ensuring compliance with clinical regulations.
• Engage in patient education regarding health management, pain relief, and rehabilitation exercises to empower them in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse patient population that includes elderly individuals recovering from surgeries, those with chronic pain conditions, and patients in need of rehabilitation due to injuries or other health concerns. Your work will involve addressing a wide range of orthopedic and functional mobility issues, allowing you to apply your expertise in an impactful manner.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• A strong background in manual therapy and state-of-the-art rehabilitation techniques.
• No history of disciplinary actions or complaints against your professional license.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while fostering effective communication in a team dynamic.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years is required, additional experience in specialty areas such as geriatric care, post-operative therapy, or sports rehabilitation will be considered a major asset. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems will enhance your effectiveness in managing patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
