Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Lakewood, NJ – On-site
$250,000–$300,000 + Profit Sharing

 

Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for the day-to-day operations of the organization.

• Lead, mentor, and support department heads while fostering collaboration across teams.

• Oversee Sales, Accounting, Warehouse, Operations, and IT functions.

• Drive operational excellence by improving processes, systems, and accountability.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.

• Identify operational challenges and implement practical, scalable solutions.

• Build a culture where employees feel supported, heard, and empowered to succeed.

• Ensure priorities remain aligned across departments while removing roadblocks to execution.

• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and company growth initiatives.

• Develop leadership talent and strengthen management across the organization.

• Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement.

• Help shape and build the operational infrastructure to support future growth.

• Proven experience leading multiple departments within a growing organization.

• Exceptional leadership and people management skills.

• Strong operational and strategic decision-making abilities.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.

• Able to prioritize competing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.

• Comfortable making difficult decisions while remaining approachable and collaborative.

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, e-commerce, or related industries is a strong plus.
